Bantamweight Hamza Kooheji has been a regular at BRAVE Combat Federation since the organization’s first show. Hailing from the Kingdom of Bahrain, he has amassed a 6-1 record with the fastest-growing MMA promotion in the world and is currently riding a three-fight win streak. As he puts on the finishing touches on the preparation for BRAVE CF 42, when he takes on Aidan James, his impact in Bahrain is louder than ever.

One of the first athletes from the Kingdom to pursue mixed martial arts professionally, Hamza fought regionally to kick off his career and caught the eye of Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, then only an MMA enthusiast. As His Highness continued to develop his own interest in the sport, KHK MMA became home for Hamza and his brother and trainer Yousif Kooheji. When Shaikh Khaled started BRAVE CF, he gave Hamza an opportunity and he has never looked back, becoming Bahrain’s biggest fighter.

Through KHK MMA, Kooheji has been able to train with some of the finest fighters in the world and has been receiving coaching from Eldar Eldarov, the current BRAVE CF Super Lightweight world champion. He has transformed into one of the best wrestlers of his division, with a smothering top game and ferocious ground and pound.

As he has developed through the years, a new generation of young fighters was introduced to MMA through KHK and his successes have been the aspiring factor in making Shaikh Khaled’s team one of the biggest in the world. Several young fighters in Bahrain now look up to Kooheji, who is the antidote of a celebrity. Calm, collected, and shy, he’s in his true nature while helping the next generations of fighters, and forging his own path to the top.

As he faces Aidan James at the Kombat Kingdom, on September 24th, the entire Kingdom of Bahrain will be on the edge of their seats to see the next adventure of their biggest star, a young man who has written his own story and is taking the flag of his people to the highest of places. In case he beats James at BRAVE CF 42, a world title shot becomes a question of when not if.
