Chandni Mehra and Suman Kumari to fight for the WBC India Lightweight Title

Indian boxers Chandni Mehra and Suman Kumari are all set to fight for the WBC India Lightweight Title on the Fight Night India Unleashed Card from LZ Promotions which is scheduled to happen on 1 May 2021 in Jalandhar.

The announcement was made by the team through their social media platforms and you can see the statement below.

“**HUGE** Game changer is here: LZ Promotions are proud to announce we will be hosting the first EVER World Boxing Council (WBC) India Championship on our inaugural event. I would like to thank WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman and the WBC Asia Committee for this prestigious honor. Suman Kumari vs Chandni Mehra will contest the Lightweight 140LB belt. Both are great ambassadors for the sport and we hope it will encourage more females to follow in their footsteps

A special mention to all family and friends who have supported my boxing dream and those parents supporting the Indian boxers. Nevada State Athletic Commission Indian Boxing Council,” the team noted.

Chandni Mehra currently holds a professional record of 7-2 to her name when Sumar Kumari comes in with a record of 4-3-1 on her resume. The event will be headlined by the showdown between Pawan Goyat and Sachin Nautiyal when veteran Pawan Maan Singh will fight Amit Rawat. Asha Roka is also set to make her return with the card.
