Bidang Fighting Championship 2 Results: Dushan wins, Sumit takes co-main event

Bidang Fighting Championship 2 happened on 20 March 2022 in Guwahati, Assam and the event delivered an action-packed night of fights. The 10-fight card was opened by a highlight reel knockout from Sultan Kokni who outclassed Athul Hotker to take home a first-round stoppage victory.

Carry Rumnong and Elbin Singsit followed this up with a to and fro bout which had lots of drama. In the end, Carry managed to submit Elbin to secure the win. The much-awaited rematch between Tokho George and Monjit Yein ended in a TKO stoppage. Monjit stopped Tokho with a knee to the face and gave the home crowd a reason to cheer.

Jony Darlong pulled off a submission out of nowhere in his bout against Lamkordor. Aboto Ayemi, meanwhile, knocked out Ayush Chauhan in the bout that followed.

The lone bout on the card that went the complete distance was between Navdeep Aggarwal and Ankit Gujjar. Navdeep dominated the proceedings throughout the three rounds and had a comfortable decision victory.

This was followed by the lone female bout on the card as Sonam Zomba and Amruta Kale locked horns. After initial exchanges, Sonam landed a knockout punch which forced the referee to stop the bout.

Mridul Saikia delivered a memorable performance in front of his hometown fans when he submitted Abhilash Raut.

In the co-main event, Sumit Bhyan made a statement by stopping the experienced Hemant Wadekar in the first round. Sumit, who had an impressive amateur MMA career, was making his professional MMA debut and took Hemant to the ground where he finished the fight via ground and pound.

The India vs. Afghanistan showdown in the main event did not last long as well as Dushan Burle submitted Azim Mokhlis to add another impressive win to his resume.

Bidang Fighting Championship 2 was held on 20 March 2022 at the Greenwood Resort in Guwahati and was hosted by Bidang MMA, Greenwood Resorts, and Prag News. The event, which is the brainchild of Indian MMA star Bhababjeet Choudhury, had 10 professional MMA fights on the card and was live-streamed on LockerRoom India YouTube channel and Prag News.
