I am just a different animal: Aung La N Sang confident about fighting De Ridder

The fight between Aung La N Sang and Reinier De Ridder is yet to be officially announced by ONE Championship. However, the potential fight has already captured the attention of the fans after the news was revealed by Chatri Sityodtong a couple of weeks back.

ONE Championship World Champion Aung La N Sang has now addressed the possibility of a fight. He opened up about the same during an interview with South China Morning Post MMA where he noted that he is confident.

“His strong suit is BJJ so I’m doing a lot of preparation for that as well. Certain opponents, I thought were gonna give him trouble in ONE Championship but he finds certain ways to win. He fought Gilberto Galvao, a black belt, I thought he had a tough test at hand but he knocked the guy out. Leandro Ataides, another BJJ black belt … he finds ways to win. You gotta respect that. He’s undefeated, he’s confident. But I’m just a different animal,” the champion noted [via SCMP MMA].

Aung La N Sang also noted that he has some great training partners at Sanford MMA in Florida who can prepare him for the upcoming fight.

“We have some amazing guys. One of them just today Derek Brunson [of the UFC] came down from his house in North Carolina. They’re all southpaws, my opponent is also a southpaw so they’re great training partners. And with Derek, he’s mimicking the takedowns for me, so it’s been great,” he added.
