The Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) has officially unveiled that the upcoming 2023 U18 World Championships are set to unfold in the picturesque city of Alexandroupolis, Greece, toward the end of September.

In collaboration with the esteemed GAMMA Member in Greece, the Hellenic Wrestling Federation, this event will see young and promising athletes converging at the Michalis Paraskevopoulos Indoor Gym to vie for esteemed global honors.

Marking a significant milestone, this edition of the GAMMA World U18 Championships is primed to follow in the footsteps of the triumphant U18 International Tournament that captivated audiences in the USA during 2022. With the stage set, over 200 budding athletes, aged between 10 and 17, are poised to engage in spirited MMA competition spanning various weight categories. This tournament stands as an exceptional platform, representing the inaugural international endeavor for many of these talented young contenders, marking their early steps in the world of MMA.

Speaking about the event in Greece GAMMA President Alexander Engelhardt said, “Giving our young athletes the opportunity to experience international competition is an extremely important part of their development and I hope that all athletes will enjoy the competition as well as taking the chance to learn from each other. I thank our Greek friends for their willingness to host this event and I am sure that it will be a great success.”
