As the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 draws near, India is preparing to showcase its Ju-Jitsu prowess on the continental stage. This prestigious sporting event, initially scheduled for 2022 but postponed due to COVID-19, will take place from September 23 to October 8, 2023, in Hangzhou, China. With 40 sports on the roster, it promises to be an exciting showcase of talent from across Asia.

India has a rich history at the Asian Games, and over the past few decades, the nation's participation and performance have significantly improved. This year, India is sending a formidable contingent of 634 athletes to compete in 38 different sports, with the largest group participating in athletics, numbering 65 athletes.

At the previous edition held in Jakarta in 2018, India sent a delegation of 570 athletes to compete in 36 sports. The increase in the number of athletes and sports reflects India's growing presence and competitiveness on the Asian stage.
