Ukrainian MMA fighter Olena Kolesnyk was in action at PFL 6 recently and after securing a win at the event, she addressed the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
An emotional Kolesnyk noted that the country is united and will not give its freedom to anyone.
“People leave my country because somebody came into our territory and took our territory. What I want to say to all people, all the people in the world. Never give up, like Churchill said, never give up in anything. Today, you can be a loser, tomorrow you will be a winner. You keep going. I’m sure, all the Ukrainians show how great a spirit we have. How united we are. We will continue to show that we won’t give up. We will fight. We are ready to give our soul, we are ready to give our body but we won’t give anyone our freedom,” she said.
She further went on to add that the Ukrainian soldiers have been supporting her amidst their battle on the borders.
“I’m really proud to be a Ukrainian and I want to thank all the soldiers. They are in the fight and watching my fight, in between sending messages you know. Before the fight and I’m sure when I open my Instagram, I will see messages. They are in soldier clothes and find time to support so guys, Thank you,” she added.
